Community Groups

Community Groups are small groups gathering together for the purpose of experiencing Christ and practicing applying the gospel to our lives. They meet weekly in homes to fellowship, pray and discuss scripture, a book, or the sermon and are led by trained lay-leaders from within the congregation.

Belonging to a Community Group is the best way to connect with others and become a "functional member" of our church. Our Community Groups are the primary place for people to experience being known and cared for at Hope. Our hope is for everyone who regularly attends Hope to belong to a Community Group. Please contact any of the groups below and visit several until you find one that is a good fit for you.

Sunday

Belk Group

Meets every Sunday near the Arboretum from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

We are a group hoping to build deeper more meaningful relationships. Open to all

Meets every Sunday Selwyn Park Neighborhood from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

 We are a group of singles and young married couples that meet every Sunday in the Selwyn Park Neighborhood.

Bugenske Group

Meets every Sunday in Rock Hill from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Meets every Sunday near the Arboretum from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

We are a group of couples and singles who are just starting and open to anybody who would like to join us.

Mauney Group

Meets every Sunday in the Matthews/Stallings Area from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. We eat dinner together each week and discuss the sermons... once a month we split up the men and women.

Monday

Stewart Group

Meets every Monday in the Cotswold area from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

We are a group consisting of mainly married couples with young children but are open to anyone who is interested in living life together in community. We are committed to growing deeper in our relationships with one another as we apply the Gospel to our lives. We are currently studying 1 John as well as joining the larger Hope body in a study of The Praying Life. We rotate meetings among men only, women only and couples.

Tuesday

Barber Group

Meets every Tuesday in the Chantilly/Elizabeth area from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

We are currently a group of married couples with young children, committed to living life together through prayer, study, social gatherings and mercy activities. Open to all.

Eich/White Group

Meets every Tuesday near South Meck High School from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

We are a group consisting mostly of young married couples between late 20's and late 30's (most with kids). We balance bible study, discussion and social events in fostering community centered on the Gospel. Meeting place rotates among several homes to share babysitting obligations (as sitters are not provided).

Sutton/Guzi Group

Meets every Tuesday near Colony & Rea Roads from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

Our group is a mixture of singles and couples.  We are a new group currently focused on building relationships with one another.

Meets every Tuesday at rotating homes in the Dilworth area from 7:15 PM to 9:00 PM. We are a group of singles and young married couples that meet weekly. We will discuss a thought provoking question each week with the purpose of getting to know each other deeper and build community.

Baughman Group

Meets every Wednesday in the Sedgefield neighborhood from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. We are a group for anyone looking to build meaningful relationships with others at Hope. Our goal is to create community through conversation, studying scriptures, and social events.

Meets every Wednesday across from the church on Scaleybark Road from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

Meets every Wednesday Southpark Area from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM. A mixture of young marrieds and singles open for anyone looking to get plugged into community. Our goal is to build authentic relationships and trust through casual conversation.

Thursday

Coleman/Witt Group

Meets every Thursday near the Arboretum from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

We are a family-friendly group consisting of mostly married couples, both with and without kids. We meet weekly on Thursday nights and once a month on Friday night we gather as families for a social.
