Real People

The surprising message of the Bible is that each of us is a royal mess. And that’s exactly what we are at Hope Community Church – a bunch of messy people who actually believe that God loves us in spite of ourselves.

In a day and age when people feel pressured to look, act, and dress in a way that doesn’t really reflect our true selves, we hope to be a breath of fresh air. Because God is truth, life with God begins with us admitting the truth about ourselves and submitting to the truth about him.

The shocking message of the Scriptures is we are such moral failures that we could never earn God’s affection.  But we’ve got it anyway! We can cheer up. We’re much bigger sinners than we have dared to admit, and God loves us more than we have dared to hope!! Through Christ, a restored relationship with the Living God is possible for anyone. How Can I Know God?

Real Jesus

When you think of Jesus what type of person comes to mind? A thin, somewhat sad man who would get run over if He showed up at your office? Flannel board Jesus? Is He confident? Is He funny? Do people like to be with Him?

Being a church in the Bible Belt has its challenges. One of the biggest is overcoming some damage others have done to our view of God. We’re a church who focuses on the Real Jesus. We want to take you to the Scriptures and get out of the way so you can see the Real Jesus.

We want you to see God for yourself.

Real Change

No one is beyond Hope!! God literally transforms us into people we never dreamed we could be.  The grip of addictions are broken, dreams resurface, our hearts relax, and joy begins to become a more common experience in our everyday lives.

Now it doesn’t mean that our lives are free from struggle. Life is still hard, and some sins continue to hound us until Jesus returns to set things right. But for the first time in our lives, we have tangible reasons for being optimistic about who we are becoming.

Once we admit the truth about ourselves and see the truth about God change takes place.
